the movie 'Up'
A blog dedicated to this beautiful film from Disney-Pixar.... I have it on DVD, so in a way I was lucky to be able to go back to the first 10mins of the opening scenes and watch it all again. There are 2 other films I remember where the opening scenes completely captures you in this manner. One was 'Finding Nemo' when Coral was eaten by that nasty barracuda, and the other 'Batman Begins' when Bruce Wayne's parents were mugged and shot. Anyway I thought about posting my review on Up on IMDB website, but decided not to since any spoilers would have ruined it for the audience. I wanted everyone out there who hadn't seen it to go see it, and to see it without knowing anything about the film other than it's title! heh. I truly believe that anyone whatever age they are will be able to relate to the film in many ways... the feeling of adventure, achieving all dreams, the honesty to do all the right things, complete devotion, and how people whom you meet at any point in life can make huge positive changes. Some of the changes may not be understood at first glance, but like the film... it is only time when one will eventually come to realise. Look outside YOUR life and those new experiences can be life changing for all the good ways. And love transcends all boundaries. "Trucs a faire" - french for Things to Do! If those things you do are what you share with, and with ones whom you truly love, then in life you are truly lucky. And this film captures all of that. Enchanting and beautiful, it's 10/10.
